Just now...

I wrote my first mortgage check on Sunday...

BAM!

It hit me--I'm an *adult* now. I'm 25 and I'm just *now* feeling like an adult--LOL. It's a crazy crazy world we live in...hehe.

Ha Ha. You're a grown up now! How does it feel? I wouldn't know...I'm still a kid.

You must have felt good sending that check off though. Payment on your very own little piece of earth. And you know you'll have a roof over your head when you're "Old Man Stephen"

No no no. Wait until you look at your statement. When you realize that 80% of your mortgage payment goes to interest and taxes while the other 20% actually goes to principal. THAT's when it hits you that you're an adult!

But seriously though...congrats dude. It's awesome! :)

Yikes--I don't like the sound of "Old Man Stephen"...hehe

The interest to principle ratio DOES suck, but such is life, right? Thanks, BFC! Good to hear from ya, man!

Sorry! Anyway, you won't be "old" for another 50 or 60 years so no worries.

20% is better than the 0% you get paying rent (like me) instead :)

Don't rush it Stephen. Being a grown up isn't what it's all cracked up to me. My observation is this: Being a grown up is expensive! (in my case...house payment...2 car payments...Allimony...Child support...it just doesn't end) And I've had some weird car Karma lately...lots of $$ outflow on repairs ($hit!) Other than that, being an adult is fun...you get to set your own curfew!
Of course, now that you are an adult and have a job, you don't want to stay up late...'cuz then you feel like crap all day at work. :-)

Eric--oh yes, you have to take the good with the bad--I'm learning this. It just seems like every little milestone just reaffirms my "adult" status now--lol. When I first graduated college and got a full-time job at 22, I felt like I was just "playing the part." LOL. It just sorta sinks in little by little everyday...
