I.Don't.Know.

I'm almost 30.
Shouldn't I be further along?
Shouldn't I be with a guy who won't treat me like crap?

Shouldn't

Keys, keys, keys

The last couple of days just haven't been going my way...

I fell asleep last night around 6:30pm...on the couch. Fine. A friend's call woke me up around 8:30 to see if I was going out. It was Saturday night, after all! I decided to make it a quiet evening and stayed in instead. I actually went on to bed after his call and decided that I needed to catch up on some much needed rest. I dozed in and out until I had to get up at 9:45am. I got ready for work and was off. I was proud of myself for leaving my apartment early so that I could get in a workout before work. I get to work and look at my keys...I'd left my apartment keys at home! Uggg...

Let me explain. I have 4 - yes, 4! - keys associated with my apartment. One to get into the building, one for my front door, one for my balcony door, and one for the laundry room. Instead of carrying all of them all the time, I separated the 2 to get into the building and my apartment from the others. I leave the other 2 at home 'cause I don't need them all the time. When I go for a run, I use the balcony key to get back in so that I don't have to carry 2 keys. When I go out, I just take the 2 for the building/front door with me. This is what happened on Friday night. Since I didn't go anywhere yesterday, I'd forgotten to put them with my work keys.

Ugggg...

This is the 3rd time this has happened to me since I moved in this past August. My landlord is gonna think I'm a total spazz and idiot! I keep telling myself I need to get some extras made...I guess I need to get that done, eh?

Karma, concerts, oh my!

My scooter was stolen Thursday night. I came home around 8:30pm and was in for the evening. I went outside around 12:15 to see if it was still raining/drizzling, and to my surprise, my scooter was not where I parked it! Just to describe the parking lot for ya...the house I'm in and the house next to it share a driveway. This driveway leads to an open parking area for all the tenants. I always park and lock my scooter up to the back wooden fence. The handlebar was locked, so they had to have put it on a truck or else it would just go in circles. I didn't hear anything out of the ordinary from my apartment, either. Everyone who's heard about it being stolen all say the same thing, "Karma. It'll get back to them." I hope so... I had an accident on my scooter about 2 months ago. So...this makes me wonder...do *I* have the bad karma with scooters!?!?! Is it *me*?

I was off on Friday, so one of my best friends stopped by my apartment on his way out of town. He wanted to cheer me up, so he drug me out of the apartment and took me to a bar...at 1:30pm!!! LOL. We did a shot and had a drink. We sat there and talked and laughed like we always do. It's nice having great friends like that. It was just what I needed:)

I went to the Mat Kearney concert last night. If you don't know his stuff, he's an indie rock/folk/pseudo pop singer. He became popular via Grey's Anatomy. His songs just seem perfect for that show. This was the second time I've seen him in concert and he's just a great artist, plain and simple. He's not one of those artists who sounds totally different in concert than on his records - he's better! If you haven't heard his stuff, check him out!

(un)Change(d)

In some ways, a lot of things have changed since last I posted...and some things haven't. I'm still at the same job, just a different schedule now:) I have every other weekend off, which is nice, but the 11 hr days during the week can get LOOOOOONNNNGGGGG! But...I have a job, right? Gotta be thankful for that! I still run and train for marathons. I haven't raced as much as I should, but I'm still PR'ing (personal record) when I do. Even though I'm getting older, my running seems to be progressing:) That's it...those 2 things are my day-to-day activities. Work and running. Did I sign-up for this? I guess we all do when we graduate college, right?

Now...to the things that have changed...

I moved back to Midtown. I'm not in Dickhater (it's really Decatur, but we all call it "Dickhater" because it's the lesbian part of town...) anymore. I just like Midtown more.

I've reconnected with old friends and made some new ones.

I'm dating someone. We've known each other since February of this year, but didn't start dating until July. He travels A LOT - that's why I didn't want to start dating him when we first met, but it's working. It's not bad when he travels within the US, just when he goes to his accounts overseas. I'll be posting more about him in upcoming posts:)

Well...I guess that's it for now. See! I told you I'd post more! BOOYAH!
